Service Degradation

At 16:52 and 17:25 GMT yesterday, we experienced a 33-minute period of service degradation that caused all channels to either become unresponsive or significantly slower. We've completed a detailed investigation and identified the root cause as a sharp spike in traffic volume driven by aggressive pre-emptive loading of our checkout widgets. In response, we've refined the loading logic and increased service capacity tenfold. With these changes in place, we do not expect a recurrence.

Degraded email deliverability for outbound transaction emails

Postmark resolved the incident. The impact was a subset of emails being wrongly delivered to SPAM folder of Gmail users. We continue investing effort into having better prevention and remediation options in place.

Degraded performance for Viva Wallet customers

We implemented a temporary workaround to mitigate the root cause.
Root cause is still affecting Viva Wallet which continues to be down globally - we reached out to Viva Wallet and monitoring the issue. Once resolved on Viva Wallet side we will remove our temporary workaround.

Terminal Error - Another request in progress

We deployed pgbouncer to optimize database connections.
However, post-deployment, we encountered issues with shared advisory locks, resulting in application warnings and support escalations.
Our testing environment did not replicate the application's use of advisory locks. A rollback has been performed.
We are investigating solutions and will conduct more comprehensive testing before future deployments.
Dashboard Migration to Rails 8.0 & Legacy API URL Path

We have successfully deployed a major update to our dashboard project, migrating from Rails 7.1 to Rails 8.0. While this update has been thoroughly tested, we are encountering some minor issues post-migration and are actively addressing them.
Additionally, as part of the migration, we have disabled legacy, non-supported API URL paths like https://api.ventrata.com/api/* and https://api.ventrata.com/api-octo/*, which caused issues for select API connections, including with OTAs such as GetYour...
