We are applying a required maintenance patch to our Cloud SQL database instances to keep the platform secure, stable and accurate. The patch includes updated time zone data for parts of Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories), where unpatched databases would show local times one hour behind from November 1, 2026. Stored timestamps are not affected.

We expect only a quick restart of the primary database instance(s), with a brief connectivity interruption while it completes.
